The ‘Intentional’ hit singer joined a carefully selected list of speakers and musicians who led the prayer meeting that grew believers spiritually and pulled down strongholds from May 18 to May 20, 2017.
Travis, who is married to a Ghanaian, passionately used his gift of music as a tool to inspire, heal and expose others to the transformative love of Jesus Christ when he lifted up prayers in worship songs.
The 48-hour non-stop prayer marathon dubbed ‘Stand In The Gap’ and themed ‘There Must Be An Answer’ also gave an opportunity to believers to engage God in fruitful prayers.
Prophet Gideon Danson, Head Pastor of EWC, interacting with the press, said, “Stand In The Gap was instituted with the vision to provide an avenue for all believers to gather and pray strategically for answers.”
He said most believers are used to praying when they are in need, however, he added that ‘Stand In The Gap’ creates the atmosphere for believers to pray prayers that are not need-oriented.
“We are creating the atmosphere to lift up prayers for the Body of Christ,” he added.
Dr Cindy Trimm of Cindy Timm Ministries, elaborating on the need for Christians to pray, underscored that prayer destroys weapons of the enemy and makes Christians the solution to problems.
She added that there is a season for prayer, adding that ‘Stand In The Gap’ is one of such seasons for prayers need to be offered.
Apart from Travis Greene who is making his second appearance at the event, Nigerian gospel musician Nathaniel Bassey and the indomitable EWCLive led patrons with lifted hands and a heart full of praise.
The intense atmosphere of prayer was led by various powerful men and women of God, including Pastors Cindy Trimm, Robert Ampiah Kofi, Pastor Edward Boateng, Ben Doku and the host, Gideon Danso.
